when it comes to my sense of style i think i have A.D.D. on wednesday i went from a lil bit rock to a lil bit prep on thursday. i was actually quite determined to wear a different jacket everyday this week, but midweek the weather warmed up. actually it warmed up by midday each day. so i nixed that idea, but continued taking a daily photo. since we have no strict dress code at work (guys wear hats, shorts, i wear jeans and my reefs) and since an average of 5 people see me a day, i like to 'test out' outfits at work, before giving them a spin IRL. ps. yes i did get the idea of taking these photos from fabsugar's lookbook.
fri_below: i have since removed the scarf. i need scarf tying lessons. *edit* added friday nights outfit

trickbesoreal but issarocks.

during the austin trip, we got to meet up with the lil bro and his girufrendo (they match so absolutely perfectly). anyways i haven't seen him since a year ago when i saw him for maybe 10 minutes at Emo's. we've decided lilbro/bigsis convention will increase by 5 minutes each year. (actually i just made that up). we are one of the few big sis/ lil bro combos that still keep in touch past the years of obligated friendship (just kidding, we met pre-obligation). trick is my link into the world of 'the good stuff' when it comes to muzak. and he's still one of the coolest people i know... now maybe he'll paint me something.
look at how much we haven't grown (ok maybe only i haven't changed):

sigma girls night.

so this past weekend we had a sigma girls night up to austin for the night. a good time was had by all, except the trip was way too short... (oh and we didn't get to eat crepes, and i didn't get to drink wine)
ofcourse we did manage to do all the things you'd expect us to do during a girls night (sorority girl edition)...

like get together with other sigmas
and go out downtown
and drink

and take silly photos

and eat
oh and last but not least...
have a pillow fight.
and then get cleaned up.

kdinner.
lately, i have been craving korean foods. last night was no execption, so it's a good thing that i can make things myself at home. just last week i made beef bulgogi and shrimp kimchi jjigae and instead of just posting photos, i've added the recipes for ppl like office bff who complains when i make postings without ways to recreate it.
daeji bulgogi (korean spicy pork bbq)
ingredients:
1 pound pork tenderloin, trimmed
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons korean chili paste
1 teaspoon minced ginger
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
3 garlic cloves, minced
preparation:
-cut pork diagonally across grain into 1/16-inch-thick slices.
- mix sugar, soy sauce, chili paste, ginger, sesame oil, red peppers, cloves in a large bowl
- combine mixture with pork and let it marinade for at least 30 minutes.
- heat a large skillet to med-high, add a small amount of canola oil, and grill meat until thoroughly cooked.
zucchini/onion pajon (korean pancake)
ingredients:
1/4 cup rice flour
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup water, approximately
Few drops sesame oil
Dash white pepper
1 green onion, cut into 1-inch lengths
1 zucchini chopped in small slices
preparation:
- mix all of the ingredients together except for the green onions, batter should be thin.
- heat skillet to med-high, add oil to pan, pour one large scoop of batter into the pan to be 1/4 inch thick, add a few green onions. fry one side until golden, then flip. continue with the rest of the mixture.
dipping sauce:
- combine 3 parts soy sauce to one part rice vinegar (or white vinegar), add a dash of sesame oil.
