This is where the hungry come to feed. For mine is a generation that circles the globe and searches for something we haven't tried before. So never refuse an invitation, never resist the unfamiliar, never fail to be polite and never outstay the welcome. Just keep your mind open and suck in the experience. And if it hurts, you know what? It's probably worth it.

longest day evar part 2

day 5 continued from tsujiki to the imperial palace... which was sparse.. except for all of the tour groups.. taking the obligatory photos.. of the palace from oh so far away.

we continued on to asakusa.. where i had delicious sakura soft serve.. ONOMONOM.

with much tired feets we were off to akihabara... aka electric town.. aka otakuland.. aka nerdoland.. it was ZOMG SO MANY ROBOTZ.. everywhere.
o and we totally went to a maid cafe. YA RLY.

somehow we ended up in Ginza after... to stare at expensive shopping.. and streets with bars only and no food... we were so srs hungry time.. that we went to shinjuku afterwards for pricey yakitori.. and terrible lotte burgers. and T tried to get everyone else addicted to UFO catchers.

tsujiki fish market

day 5. dru family day + me&T

we started off early so we could get to the Tsujuki Fish Market...
we didn't make it in time for the auction.. but it was quite cool to see... and SO CHEAP.
if only we could have easy access to $8.00 boxes of uni.

springroove/kanamara matsuri

for day 3, we were lucky enough to be in town for Tokyo's springroove their annual hiphoppa music festival.. and it was quite awesome if i do say so myself. we got to see john legend, t pain, akon, tlc and craig david (ya who knew he was still around)

the next day jeannie decided to surprise us by taking us to kanamara matsuri.. the fertility festival.. aka penis festival... which only happens once a year.. and of course we were 'lucky' enough to be in town for this too.

tokyo - it starts...

soon after arrival into narita airport we made our trek to shinjuku ..after some minimal direction error in finding the hotel.. we checked in.. then began to roam the area... had some bad ramen, and then some good sushi... and T's addiction to the UFO catchers and japanese arcades began...

the following day we headed to explore shibuya and to meet up jeannie by hachiko and eventually even welcomed dru to japan, got to see jeannie's apt and eventually headed off to a lil karaoke to round out the 2nd night.

seoul much drama

now i couldn't go to seoul without stopping by a few kdrama filming sites... so i made sure i found directions to the coffee prince cafe, as well as building 63 (from my girl)... we considered going to the full house.. house.. but it was incheon and would've taken us awhile to get there and such.

coffee prince was cool to go too.. it was however full of tourists and there were no 'princes' to serve the expensive coffee.

building 63.. sky observatory got turned into the sky art gallery.. so they can charge more.. unfortunately we went when seoul was all hazy..
